What are Tiny Homes all about?
“Simplicity of life, even the barest, is not a misery, but the very foundation of refinement” William Morris
Born out of a quest for a life lived differently the Tiny Homes movement brings the practical solution of radically down sizing living space to escape the ‘work, eat, sleep, repeat’ routine. … A world away from the consumer driven ‘McMansion’ a Tiny Home is just that, simpler living in a smaller, more efficient space.
Downsizing your space can upsize your free time. Living simply also appeals to those of us wanting to tread lightly on the planet, care about wellness and the sustainable environment.
Perhaps you have already heard of the Tiny Homes revolution and are curious to try it out with an eye to future plans … or maybe you are looking for a really different kind of ethical holiday?
Our Tiny Homes are set in a smallholding environment adjacent to the magnificent Parkhurst Forest with walking trails, cycle routes and wildlife galore – including the Isle of Wights famous red squirrels. Tranquil coastline or bustling Cowes are a cycle ride away. As you would expect the development utilises many eco friendly measures – including solar power, composting toilets, wood burning stoves and water recycling. There will be three (eventually six) Tiny Homes. We are purposefully keeping it …. tiny!
Guests will be able, if they wish, to join in working the mandala gardens, and will be able to help themselves to produce if they do and there will be various workshops and events on offer in our studio that will reflect the ethos of Tiny Homes. The Isle of Wight with it’s slower pace of life, clean air and stunning scenery is the perfect place to be.
Ingenious internal architecture will leave you surprised at how spacious Tiny can feel! Our Tiny Homes are architect designed with high spec finish … truly small but perfectly formed. We are designing our Tinies with holiday makers in mind. Thinking carefully about what you will need on holiday, what we can supply to make your stay comfortably luxurious and making sure that you have a place to put anything you may bring with you. The idea is to travel light and fit right in!
“The secret of happiness, you see, is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less” – Socrates
